Working from a small workshop studio in the Norfolk countryside, Steve draws on his experiences as a graphic designer, conservationist and woodworker to follow a passion for applying creative skills in a hands-on environment creating artisan bowls, woodware and small furniture.

Creating one-off pieces from locally sourced hardwoods or salvaged wood, Steve invests time and thought in making contemporary handcrafted products using the modern and traditional skills.

He works with a variety of materials but prefers to work with imperfect timber from fallen or storm damaged trees and is continually experimenting with new ideas and techniques to create decorative and functional products for contemporary spaces.

Each piece is made individually and has its own characteristics, small batches of a design are made very similar to each other but never exactly the same emphasising the nature of natural materials and handcrafted products. Shapes and textures created by the passing of time in the natural world are a strong influence.

A selection of recent pieces are available in the shop.
